Professor Baukje de Roos is an internationally recognized nutrition scientist. It is mainly engaged in the research on the mechanism of bioactive food ingredients in vivo at the physiological and biochemical levels, and its research project evaluates the new mechanism of action of dietary fatty acids and plant polyphenols on major chronic diseases and the development of disease resistance. Supported by the Scottish government, Professor Baukje de Roos used the advanced health self-assessment tool to study the effects of cultured seafood on heart health and micronutrient status. Due to his expertise in the field of diet and health, Professor Baukje de Roos has signed important agreements and advisory services with major food companies, the Food Tax Commission, the Food and Beverage Support Department and British National Television. At the same time, she is the president of the European Nutrition Genomics Organization (NuGO), the senior editor of the journal Molecular Nutrition and Food Research, and the guest editor of their special issue "Nutrition and Atherosclerosis". In addition, Professor Baukje de Roos is the leader of the University of Aberdeen's "Healthy Life Path" project.

Professor Harry Flint, Honorary Professor of University of Aberdeen, with Bachelor’s Degree and Doctorate in Genetics of University of Edinburgh and working experience in University of Nottingham, University of the West Indies and University of Edinburgh. Professor Flint specializes in the contribution of mammals’ intestinal symbiont and symbiotic microorganism to nutrition and health. Under frame of research on molecular biology, microculture and dietary intervention, he reveals the function of intestinal bacteria in degradation of dietary ingredients, especially resistant starch and plant cell wall polysaccharide among other food ingredients. He is also working on products of metabolism of intestinal flora, such as butyric acid and propionic acid, as well as identification of strains in connection with utilization of lactose, pathways and related functional genes. Moreover, he has published 265 papers, reviews and book chapters, including his latest masterpiece - Why Gut Microbes Matter (Springer Fascinating Life Sciences, 2020).

Professor Huang Guowei, a doctoral supervisor, was formerly the Dean of the School of Public Health at Tianjin Medical University. He currently serves as the Director of the Department of Nutrition and Food Hygiene. He is an expert enjoying special government allowances from the State Council and a distinguished scholar of Tianjin (Tianjin Outstanding Academician).
He holds multiple important positions, including Executive Director of the Chinese Nutrition Society, Chairman of the Nutrition and Neuroscience Branch of the Chinese Nutrition Society, Vice President of the Tianjin Health Management Association, and Vice President of the Tianjin Nutrition Society. Jü Zhenyu, Researcher, Doctoral Supervisor, and "Guohua Distinguished Scholar" at Jinan University, is the Director of the Institute of Aging and Regenerative Medicine and the Director of the Key Laboratory of Regenerative Medicine at the Ministry of Education. He is a recipient of the National "Outstanding Youth" Award (2015) and the National "Excellent Youth" Award (2012). He received his Ph.D. from Hannover Medical School in Germany.

Prof. Lin received her PhD degree from Division of Nutritional Science at Cornell University. She was later a Postdoctoral Research Fellow of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University. Prof. Lin became a professor, group leader and doctoral supervisor in Institute for Nutritional Sciences since she returned to China in 2003. From 2008 to 2016, Prof. Lin became the Director of Key Laboratory of Nutrition and Metabolism of Chinese Academy of Sciences. She has now established the first genome-wide association studies and multi-omics prospective cohort database of diabetes in China, and conducted series of nutritional interventions. Her research group has made significant progress in metabolic diseases associated genetic nutritional factors, multi-omics molecular biomarkers, early prediction and personalized nutritional intervention. She has published over 90 peer-reviewed scientific papers in internationally renowned journals in the field of genetics, nutrition, epidemiology, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. She was listed as the most cited scholar in China in 2014 and 2015 by Elsevier. She serves as a member of many international organizations and scientific journals. Professor Liu Liégang has long been engaged in work related to nutrition, diet, and chronic diseases, involving fields such as molecular nutrition and nutritional epidemiology. He has a solid research foundation and extensive experience in nutrition, diet, and chronic diseases. In recent years, he has led numerous national research projects, including the National Key Technologies R&D Program, the National Key Research and Development Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Key International (Regional) Cooperation and Exchange Program, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Key and General Programs. He has published over 140 SCI-indexed papers as the corresponding author in internationally renowned journals such as BMJ, Diabetes Care, EHP, and AJCN, and has been continuously selected for the list of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers for many years.
His research achievements have been recognized with the Second Prize of the Hubei Provincial Natural Science Award and the Second Prize of the Ministry of Education's Natural Science Award. Song Xudong, Director of the Cataract Center at Beijing Tongren Hospital, is one of the earliest surgeons in China to carry out phacoemulsification for cataract surgery. His areas of expertise include complex cataract surgery, pediatric cataract surgery, and lens subluxation.
He has published over 80 academic papers as the first author or corresponding author. He has authored and co-authored 4 ophthalmology monographs, translated 2 textbooks, and contributed to 10 other specialized books.
As the principal investigator, he has led 2 national-level projects, 2 ministerial-level projects, 2 bureau-level projects, and 1 cross-institutional collaborative project.
